It’s a friend’s birthday today, and she’s getting sympathy. Why? She has an exam tomorrow.

Now don’t get me wrong, sure, I sympathise with her. Of course, she’s a friend.

But I’ve had exams on my birthday, consecutively, for 3 years! Any sympathy? Pfftt. No. This year there are no exams, so I will be celebrating my birthday (hopefully) on my actual birthday! This is a big thing for me: I haven’t celebrated said birthday on actual birthday in a while. So sad…

So yes, happy birthday to anyone who has a birthday soon. Respect to those who have exams near or even on your birthday, I feel your pain, really.
