Hilarious. You know what this film is gonna be about: two friends Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake) become friends with benefits, but things don’t turn out how they exactly planned.

Mila Kunis is delightful and funny. Justin Timberlake does a really good job too. Director Will Gluck works with a great, quick and snappy script. The cameos are superb too: Woody Harrelson as Dylan’s gay colleague steals every scene he is in, which isn’t a lot – but Harrelson successfully does the best he can. Patricia Clarkson as Jamie’s promiscuous mother is also cringingly hilarious.

There are also some tender moments that sit in nicely against the laugh-out-loud scenes, dealing with relationships involving both love and family. Friends With Benfits is a sweet film, not exactly up for any Oscar nominations – rom coms usually aren’t – but definitely worth a watch, even if it is just on DVD.
