Probably my most ambitious cake to date. Had to get a lot of odd ingredients that I would otherwise not buy, but it was worth it.
The sponge was moist and the filling tasted just right. The whole cake actually tasted like a Black Forest Gateau.
What I didn’t like was the morello cherries, not a fan. Next time I’ll just get fresh cherries and de-stone them all. Next time, though, won’t be for quite some time: it took me a fair few hours to make and decorate!
